Flaming thorns - Poems on Cacti.

I clicked these amazing cacti at a nursery I visited in the recent past. The astounding host of colors inspired some verses I've penned below.

Beauty is abound

in fiery flames

of thorny hue;

Learning is profound

in prickly pins,

life lessons anew;

Pleasure is found

in throbbing throes 

of searing pain too...

A world ablaze 
in vibrant colors,

of peppermint pink & yellow;

Green thumbs gaze 
in cutesy collars,

 pretty peaks glitter & glow;

Risen without a faze
sans a holler,
in tempest, hail or snow.
